Any notable background items of interest: went to school in Philly; exposed to many wonderful people, thanks to my parents - Kennedys, Gov. and Mrs. Dick Thornburgh, Gov. Ridge. Grew up summers at the Illig family cottage on Manchester Beach in Fairview, so my love of the water and Lake Erie is always with me. My parents call me "Granny", because I always took care of everyone in the family. They also call me the most independent. I was left behind on at least 2 family vacations – once left on the Wash, DC subway and then at Fort McHenry in Baltimore, MD. Each time I found my way back to my family. My Mom recalls finding me in Baltimore, in one of the worst sections of town - little 9 year old girl wearing mary janes and a striped skirt, clinching her fists and walking very fast and very defiantly down the street.' She said when she saw me she knew nobody was going to even bother me. Yes, going up Robison was exciting.
